The folkloric dance classes provide a multi-disciplinary cultural enrichment program, combining history, geography, native language, traditions, culinary arts, performing arts, all through Mexican Folkloric dance.

The goal of the Dance Team is to share the rich history and cultural heritage of Mexico with the greater Pontiac community through Folkloric dance, music, costume, and language. The objective of the dance program is to teach folkloric dances and Azteca ceremonial "Danzas" to those interested. Dancers will then travel throughout the area to take part in performances.

Dance Maestra Mrs. Lourdes Del Real is from the Mexican state of Chihuahua and now resides in the are along with her husband and children.

Our Dance Group is looking for more recruits. If you or someone you know is interested in learning the traditional dances of Mexico, please call Mrs. Del Real at (248) 332-6514! She teaches both kids and adults. Better yet, you can meet them and see a sample of their dancing abilities Saturday March 10 at the Azteca Boxing Show at St. Vincent Parish Hall, 46352 Woodward Ave. in Pontiac.
